The food pantry that we stock has been used quite a bit. We

Links about Scouting

Background info about scouting

Jason:

https://www.scouting.org/about/

This first link comes directly from the official BSA website and explains what the boy scouts of america is really all about. It provides the traditions and even history of the scouts in great detail

https://scoutswa.com.au/what-is-scouting/purpose-goals-values/

I decided to choose a website from a different country as well because I like the Idea of all scouts being united despite being from different countries and I felt this was the perfect example. This website explains a scouts purpose, principle and how they exactly benefit a community and environment.

https://www.scouting.org/about/why-scouting/

Once again, this website comes directly from the official BSA site and it demonstrates the simple question: why scouting? a very understandable question with a deeper meaning. The BSA guides scouts in the right direction and creates them into model citizens of not only the United States but the entire world.

Ideas for Virtual Troop Meeting

Brought to you by the Communication Merit Badge members, Winter 2021

Ideas from Jackson:

Ideas from Scott:

* Online Scavenger Hunt: A leader has a list of items, they say one of them, and the first scout to find that item in their house will win one point. After the leader finishes the list, the scout (or patrol) with the most points wins.

* Flashlight Tag: There is one person who is it, they have to shine a flashlight at the person they want to tag. Once someone is tagged, they have to shine their flashlight at someone after waiting 1 minute.

Truck Transportation Merit Badge

Thanks to David Stevenson for running this merit badge class in December 2020.

If you attended the virtual troop meetings and participated by completing the merit badge workbook, you have earned this badge, after Jim has reviewed your workbook. Please either scan your workbook, forward the completed document if you filled out the document using the computer, or hand it to Jim in person at an outing or in person event.

Here is a blank workbook if you did not fill one out or can’t find yours. It is recommended to fill it out on the computer and save the document, then mail it.
